A few new favorite things!

In the spirit of back to school shopping, here are few of my new favorite things!

1. Reebok Women’s One Cushion Sneaker

I Got these a few weeks ago at City Sports. Even though they have the Crossfit symbol, they are a versatile sneaker, and can be used for any type of workout. I do a lot of classes at the gym that mix cardio, weights, and plyometrics, and I run in them and they offer tons of support and feel great! They look awesome on, and I have gotten numerous compliments. They just recently came out, so be a trendsetter and grab a pair!

2. 15 Love Apparel Essential Zip Jacket

I love this 15 Love  Jacket. It’s the perfect weight and very comfortable. I bought this with the intention of throwing it on after the gym or yoga, but have found myself wearing it with day to day outfits as well. It comes in lots of fun colorful colors, and is perfect for fall!

Two New Favorite Products!

New Favorite Lululemon pants=Run Inspire Crop ii

I have always seen people wearing these but I assumed because the material was thinner that they might not be as flattering as some of the other lulu pants I own. I was so wrong! These are awesome. The waste band is super comfortable and flattering, and they feel like you are wearing a second skin. I initially tried on a size larger than I normally wear, but they were already falling down a few minutes into wearing them, so I would recommend getting your normal size. I literally just keep rewashing them because I want to wear them for every workout. I will definitely be getting a second pair!

(The color I have is pink-in stores but not on the website)

My second purchase was the Polar FT7 Heart Rate Monitor. I keep seeing people posting pictures on facebook, instagram, twitter, etc. with this showing their calorie burn and heart rate after certain workouts. When I ordered this I thought all you had to wear was the watch and didn’t realize that you had to strap a heart rate monitor thing around your chest as well, so initially I was kind of bummed out. After realizing though that the band around your chest is comfortable and not noticeable at all, I was no longer upset about it. This thing is great. It tells you your heart rate throughout your workout and then summarizes your entire workout for you at the end (calorie burn, time, etc). What I found really interesting was how I was underestimating some workouts and overestimating others. For instance I played tennis for 45 minutes the other day and burned 553 calories! I never thought about tennis as that intense of a workout. On the other hand, a class I normally take at the gym and always figured burned at least 500 calories only burned 350. It was shocked to see these stats.

FT7(I bought mine on amazon-seemed to be the best price)

Reader Question: I have heard a lot about the Jawbone Up band and am hesitant about getting one. Does anyone have one? If so are there are any pros/cons you wouldn’t mind sharing?

Thanks in advance!
